Specialises in
I am a Consultant Urologist and Robotic Surgeon at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, where I have worked since 2012. My specialist interest is in urological cancers, and I perform robotic surgery for patients with pelvic and upper urinary tract cancers in both NHS and private practice.
I completed fellowship training in urological cancers and robotic surgery at University College London. I am also the Robotic Urologist for the Queen's University Hospital Endometriosis Centre in Romford, where I work alongside gynaecology and general surgery colleagues at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust on complex multidisciplinary procedures.
Previously, I served as Cancer Lead for Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, supporting the development and delivery of cancer services. Alongside my clinical work, I have a strong interest in education, training and research, with a record of teaching, mentoring and peer-reviewed publications.
My practice covers a broad range of diagnostic, general, oncological and robotic urological surgery. I investigate and manage lower urinary tract symptoms in men and women, perform flexible cystoscopy and assess patients with haematuria (blood in the urine). I also treat a variety of general urological conditions, including those requiring penile and scrotal surgery, hydrocoele repair, excision of testicular and epididymal cysts, circumcision and other minor urological procedures.
A major focus of my practice is robotic urological cancer surgery. I perform robotic-assisted radical prostatectomy for prostate cancer, robotic radical cystectomy for bladder cancer in both men and women, robotic partial nephrectomy and other complex robotic cancer procedures.
I also undertake robotic surgery for benign and functional urological conditions, including robotic bladder diverticulectomy, robotic ureteric reimplantation and other reconstructive procedures. In addition, I have specialist expertise in robotic surgery for urological involvement of endometriosis and contribute to the specialist endometriosis service at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust.
I have performed more than 1,500 robotic procedures for urological cancer and played a key role in developing the robotic surgery programme at Bradford Royal Infirmary. As a robotic proctor and trainer for Intuitive Surgical, I support and mentor surgeons in robotic radical prostatectomy, radical cystectomy and partial nephrectomy, and I am also involved in training colleagues in benign and reconstructive robotic urology.
I am committed to providing high-quality, evidence-based care tailored to each patient's individual needs. My aim is to ensure patients fully understand their diagnosis and treatment options, enabling them to make informed decisions and feel supported throughout their care journey.

Robotic surgery service development
I have received regular media recognition for my work in robotic urological cancer surgery and the development of robotic services at Bradford Royal Infirmary. My work and achievements have been featured on several occasions in the Bradford Royal Infirmary newsletter, as well as in articles published by the Telegraph & Argus highlighting the development of robotic surgery in Bradford. I have also been interviewed by the BBC and featured in a BBC Look North programme discussing the development and benefits of robotic surgery.
