Consultant urologist
MBBS, MSc, MD(Res), FRCS(Urol)
Some of the principal treatments carried out by Mr Oliver Kayes at Spire include:
All aspects of men's urological health including sperm retrieval and IVF.
I specialise in treating Men's health issues, incontinence and general urology.
I am currently appointed as a consultant urologist at Leeds Teaching Hospitals. Additionally I work alongside infertility colleagues at the Leeds Centre for Reproductive Medicine (LCRM).
My special interests include: benign prostate conditions, male incontinence & sexual dysfunction, male infertility, prostate and bladder cancer and genital reconstructive surgery. I completed my specialist surgical training in Cambridge and London; including a two year fellowship working with international experts at University College London Hospital.
I completed a higher degree in the molecular biology of penile cancer and awarded the prestigious Hunterian Professorship in 2010 by the Royal College of Surgeons of England. I currently act as reviewer for several international urology journals and I'm a faculty member of the F1000 research portfolio.
I believe it is important that patients receive optimal care alongside the continual development of high quality clinical and scientific research. This fascinating interface allows me to promote clinical excellence in urology whilst nurturing innovation and improving surgical outcomes.
