I am a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist working at Leeds General Infirmary, having been appointed in 2022. I am fully trained in all aspects of General Cardiology but my specialist area of interest is Interventional Cardiology. Specifically, I manage all aspects of coronary artery disease including investigation of chest pain, risk factor modification, and treatment of symptoms with appropriate pharmacotherapy or invasive coronary angioplasty.

I have special clinical interests in aortic stenosis, chest pain (angina), heart failure, ischaemic heart disease and valvular heart disease.

I also have expertise in the investigation and treatment of heart valve disease and am one of only four consultants in Leeds who specialises in keyhole heart valve replacements.

To date, I have performed over 4,000 coronary angiograms, 2,000 coronary angioplasties and 300 TAVIs (keyhole aortic heart valve replacement).

I graduated from the University of Nottingham and completed post-graduate training in the East Midlands and West Yorkshire. In addition, I have been awarded a PhD from the University of Leeds and spent two years working in Toronto to gain further experience in advanced interventional cardiology techniques.

I will be doing procedures at Spire Manchester (coronary angiography, coronary angioplasty, TAVI) but not conducting clinics there.
