I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in hip and knee surgery, with over 25 years experience. My clinical practice focuses on hip and knee replacement surgery, revision surgery and arthroscopic procedures, helping patients reduce pain, restore mobility, and return to everyday activities as quickly and safely as possible.
I currently see and treat patients privately at both Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital and Spire King’s Lynn Clinic.
I completed my pre‑clinical and clinical training at Trinity Hall, University of Cambridge, followed by clinical school at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, one of the leading teaching hospitals in the UK. I went on to complete specialist trauma and orthopaedic training in Southampton, Birmingham, Oswestry and London, gaining broad experience in complex orthopaedic conditions. My fellowship training included time at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto, working with Dr Marvin Tile, which further developed my expertise in advanced hip and knee surgery.
I have been a consultant Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon at Addenbrooke’s Hospital since 2000, where my NHS practice is now focused on elective hip and knee surgery.
Alongside my clinical work, I have previously held several senior leadership roles in orthopaedics and musculoskeletal services. These include Trauma & Orthopaedic Specialty Lead and Musculoskeletal Clinical Director at Cambridge University Hospitals, as well as a regional role with NHS England in the East of England.
I also previously served as President of the British Orthopaedic Directors Society (2018–2020) and continue to contribute nationally through the British Orthopaedic Association. I am also involved in research with particular interests in nutrition in musculoskeletal health, including published work on vitamin B12.
