Alan Oliver from Hornchurch in Essex visited Spire Hartswood Hospital for hip replacement surgery in May 2011. After his visit Alan wrote a letter to Hospital Director, Mark Gilmour, praising the hospital and its staff:
"Dear Mark,
I feel I must write to express my sincere gratitude for the exceptional service I received during my four night stay at Spire Hartswood (Hospital) and to congratulate both yourself and Shelley on assembling such a strong team of staff.
All the nursing staff displayed a consistently high level of care, kindness and consideration which was greatly appreciated.
Special thanks must go to Karen Tinkler, Fiona Priscott and Jis Poulose who showed exceptional patience and understanding along with a friendly, eager to please attitude.
Finally, extra special thanks are reserved for Lee Griffin who gave a level of patient care and customer service never before experienced. He is truly a credit to his profession and the 'jewel in the crown' of Spire Hartswood.
