Time to talk day - 7 February

07 February 2019

The psychological impact of an accident, a significant diagnosis or living with a long term medical condition can be profound and are often as hard to cope with as the physical symptoms. There is a well established link between good mental health and improved physical recovery and quality of life.

Experienced counsellor Paula Wilson has recently joined Spire Hartswood as part of an innovative approach to care, encouraging patients and their families to talk about the complex feelings; such as isolation, grief, fear, low mood and anxiety often associated with difficult and challenging news. Providing a safe non-judgemental environment, counselling helps strengthen relationships, builds self-esteem and improves patient outcomes.

On Time to Talk Day 2019, if you feel counselling could help and would like to start a conversation about how you or a family member is feeling please contact our Physiotherapy department on 01277 266 780.
