I am a Consultant Rheumatologist at Spire Hartswood private hospital in Brentwood, Essex, offering private rheumatology care in our clean and comfortable private hospital.
At Spire Hartswood Hospital, I see patients with the full spectrum of rheumatic conditions including inflammatory arthritis such as rheumatoid, systemic rheumatic diseases such as lupus, metabolic bone diseases such as osteoporosis, non inflammatory conditions such as osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia and work related disorders. I also treat individual joint problems for which I may offer injections in clinic as part of a comprehensive treatment programme.
I do a weekly connective tissue disease clinic in Basildon, in addition to combined rheumatology/ orthopaedics and paediatrics/rheumatology clinics. I also have an interest in musculoskeletal ultrasound. I contribute to management and the development of services through my role as a Clinical Director for outpatients in Basildon.
I have been a consultant in Basildon and Thurrock University Hospitals since 1995.
I received my rheumatology training at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford and the Royal Free Hospital in London. I have a broad expertise in all aspects of rheumatology. I am also well trained in general medicine and have an MSc in internal medicine from Alexandria University.

I am married with three sons. My wife, Naira is medically qualified, but has taken an interest in child education and is running a Montessori nursery. All three of my sons are animators. I am an active member of the Coptic Church in the UK and also a trustee for the Essex Rheumatology Trust.
