Glaucoma Management Package
A annual package price for the management of Glaucoma
Glaucoma is a group of diseases that damage the eye’s optic nerve causing gradual loss of peripheral vision. Early sight loss due to glaucoma is not usually noticeable but can be detected by specialised investigations. Although any sight that has been lost to glaucoma cannot be recovered, early detection and management can minimise the impact of the disease.
At Spire Elland Hospital we have combined the consultations and tests needed to manage glaucoma to create a single package price for our patients who have been diagnosed with this disease.
The annual glaucoma package includes all the recommended tests and investigations needed to diagnose and manage the condition.
When will I be offered this package?
You will need to attend an initial consultation for screening to determine if you have glaucoma. If you are diagnosed with the condition, you will then be offered our annual glaucoma package.
If you choose to proceed, your initial consultation fee will be discounted to £100. Both the discounted consultation fee and the annual glaucoma package will be payable on the day.
If you do not proceed with the package, you will be charged fully for your consultation and any diagnostic tests performed on the day. Additionally, if you do not have glaucoma, you will be charged the usual consultation fee and for any tests and investigations carried out.
What is included in this package?
- Visual field assessment
- OCT scan
- Two follow up consultations and any tests that are deemed necessary, within 12 months of your initial consultation
