Dr Glenda Sobey

Specialises in
I have been a Consultant Dermatologist since 2001. Dermatology is a very rewarding specialty as I am able to care for patients of all ages from newborn to the elderly. At Spire Elland Hospital, I do not treat paediatrics. My work is both medical and surgical, so I can look after my patients through every aspect and stage of their treatment.
I offer a full range of dermatological treatments including both medical and surgical aspects. This includes consultations for all skin, hair and nail conditions. In addition to this work I also perform cosmetic dermatology consultations and treatments.
With an increasing awareness of the risk of skin cancer, many patients are requesting regular skin health checks which I am happy to perform, providing either reassurance or highlighting the need for treatment.
My main focus is on clinical work and caring for patients, however I also have an active role in teaching both nationally and internationally. I hold the position of honorary senior lecturer at The University of Sheffield.
