Unique in the South of England in offering private Phototherapy and Iontophoresis, subject to referral.
We offer a number of nurse-led services that include:
Mole screening
For people concerned about skin cancer and melanoma, or who just want peace of mind and a thorough check of all moles, this service offers up to an hour with a skin cancer screening specialist including:
- a full visual check of all skin lesions
- expert advice on skin care and sun awareness
- dermoscopic imaging of lesions that require further assessment
- a written follow-up report
- a call-back system for re-check
- prompt referral to a dermatologist or surgeon if required

Iontophoresis
Iontophoresis is an effective treatment for excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis) that affects the hands or feet. It can also be used to treat armpits. This therapy passes mild electrical currents into the skin using simple tap water that helps block the sweat glands. The treatment is not painful, but the electric current can cause some mild, short-lived discomfort and skin irritation.
The process requires seven treatments spread over a month, and because of the nature of the spacing required between sessions, has to start on a Tuesday so as to avoid the weekend.
The first appointment needs to be about an hour and a half and thereafter treatments last 20 minutes for each body part.

Phototherapy
Phototherapy is the use of ultraviolet (UV) light to slow the rapid growth of new skin cells. Whilst it was first used in the treatment of psoriasis, a number of other skin conditions including eczema, vitiligo (where pigment cells are damaged resulting in white patches), skin-based lymphoma and some cases of generalised itchy skin can be treated this way if they haven't responded to other treatments.

Camouflage make-up is a professional form of corrective cosmetics that conceals skin imperfections such as unwanted tattoos, burn scars, rosacea, vitiligo, scars, age spots, moles, broken capillaries, under-eye shadows, temporary discolourations, post-operative bruising and evidence of plastic surgery.
