Professional profile

Dr Ryder completed her medical degree at St Mary’s Hospital, London, and her postgraduate training in Anaesthesia and Pain medicine in Bristol. From 2004 to 2015, she was a Consultant in Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine at Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust. Since that time, she has worked independently in both specialties.

Dr Ryder offers a comprehensive diagnostic and investigative service with access to specialist pain psychology and pain physiotherapy services. She strongly believes that a holistic approach to managing pain is vital, and advises on medication, physical therapy, psychological treatment as well as performing a variety of interventional procedures as required, such as lumbar epidural, facet joint injections, sacroiliac injections, trigger point injections, radiofrequency lesioning, and peripheral nerve blocks, using ultrasound and X-ray, as required.
