Dr Ivan Ramos-Galvez
Consultant in Pain Management
My primary degree in medicine and surgery was obtained from the University of Barcelona, Spain. My postgraduate training has continued in the UK from 1997. I initially trained in trauma and orthopaedic surgery at Oxford and later in anaesthesia at Imperial College, London. I subsequently specialised in pain medicine at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. My main area of research is in musculoskeletal interventional pain medicine and neuropathic pain.
I have written for a range of publications. These include reviews in anaesthetic journals and chapters in major pain textbooks. I am currently co-editing the Oxford Reference Desktop: Pain Medicine.
Spire Dunedin Hospital is only able to provide Covid-19 tests to patients undergoing surgery at our hospital. Covid-19 testing or antibody tests are not available as a standalone service.
