Professional profile

Dr Ramos-Galvez primary degree in medicine and surgery was obtained from the University of Barcelona, Spain. His postgraduate training has continued in the UK since 1997. He initially trained in trauma and orthopaedic surgery at Oxford and later in anaesthesia at Imperial College, London. He subsequently specialised in pain medicine at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. His main area of research is in musculoskeletal interventional pain medicine and neuropathic pain.

Dr Ramos-Galvez has written for a range of publications. These include reviews in anaesthetic journals and chapters in major pain textbooks. He is currently co-editing Oxford Reference Desktop: Pain Medicine.

Dr Ramos-Galvez provides a pain management service for adults with chronic conditions.
