You’ve probably given your body a hard time over the Christmas break but January is the month to Love Your Liver!
Some of the principal treatments carried out by Professor Ashley Blom at Spire include:
Orthopaedic surgery: Hip Resurfacing Knee Surgery Hip Revision Surgery Hip Surgery Arthroscopy
I undertake both hip and knee replacements, including revision hip replacement and hip resurfacing, as well as knee arthroscopy at the Spire Hospital. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and a member of both the British and European Hip Societies. He has been awarded two doctoral degrees by the University of Bristol, one in making artificial bone from ceramics and the other in preventing infection after joint replacements. I am currently leading a £2m government funded research programme into improving the patients' experience of joint replacement. The first phase of this is a trial into decreasing peri-operative pain. I have published over 50 peer review scientific articles on various aspects of Orthopaedic Surgery in leading international journals.
