I undertake both hip and knee replacements, including revision hip replacement and hip resurfacing, as well as knee arthroscopy at the Spire Hospital.
I am a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and a member of both the British and European Hip Societies. I was awarded two doctoral degrees by the University of Bristol, one in making artificial bone from ceramics and the other in preventing infection after joint replacements. I am currently leading a £2m government funded research programme into improving the patients' experience of joint replacement. The first phase of this is a trial into decreasing peri-operative pain.
I have published over 50 peer review scientific articles on various aspects of Orthopaedic Surgery in leading international journals.
