I am a consultant ophthalmologist at Bristol Eye Hospital. I am the clinical lead for the cornea and refractive service at Bristol Eye Hospital. I graduated from Bristol medical school in 1997 and completed fellowship training in cornea and refractive surgery at Bristol Eye Hospital and Moorfields Eye Hospital in London. My sub-specialist interests are cataract surgery, corneal surgery and medico-legal reports.
In the largest study of it’s kind, I published a paper on the outcomes of 55,567 cataract surgery operations eyes using electronic patient records. This work has updated National and International benchmark standards for cataract surgery.
I was awarded his MD from the University of London for my innovative corneal research work. I am the external examiner of the University of Ulster for Refractive Surgery. I am regularly invited to review papers for the Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
