I am a Consultant Urological Surgeon, Honorary Professor of Urology and Director of the world-renowned Urodynamics Unit at the Bristol Urological Institute, Southmead Hospital. I graduated from St Bartholomew's and the Royal London School of Medicine and Dentistry and completed my urology training in the South West of England. I am a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and Fellow of the European Board of Urology.

I am nationally and internationally renowned in my field, and provide a national and international personalised service for my patients with urinary incontinence and lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS). I am fellowship trained in female and functional urology, neuro-urology, pelvic reconstruction and urodynamics and am experienced in urodynamics, female and male urinary anti-incontinence procedures (autologous fascial sling, colposuspsension, urethral bulking agent, artificial urinary sphincters, botulinum toxin, sacral neuromodulation), benign prostate surgery (TURP, Rezum), neuro-urology and mesh removals. I am also an expert in general urology.

My main research interests include the overactive bladder, urinary incontinence, nocturia and urodynamics.

I am a committee member of the European Section of Female and Functional Urology in the European Association of Urology (EAU-ESFFU), the British Association of Urological Surgeons section on Female Urology, Neuro-urology and Urodynamics (BAUS FNUU), International Consultation on Incontinence in Urodynamics and the EAU Male LUTS guidelines. I am an Associate Editor of Neuro-urology and Urodynamics and BJUI Compass Journals.

I have authored seven books, over 50 book chapters and over 85 articles in peer-reviewed journals. I am a reviewer for several national and international journals and have been an invited speaker to national and international meetings as well as teaching urodynamics both nationally and internationally.
