I have worked in the breast unit at Southmead hospital since 2000 and maintained the highest possible standard of care for patients, always seeking to improve the experience of patients.
I am experienced in performing diagnostic breast and axillary ultrasound. I have expertise in treating breast cancer and performing diagnostic and therapeutic ultrasound guided interventional procedures increasing accuracy. I can also perform ultrasound guided minimally invasive procedures for therapeutic excision of non cancerous lumps using vacuum assisted procedure and radio frequency ablation minimising the scar length to less than quarter of an inch as opposed to 1-2 inches with open surgery.
I can localise small lesions with ultrasound before surgically removing them, perform Latissimus dorsi breast reconstruction, and can support with all implant based reconstructions including use of acellular dermal matrix as a sling to achieve symmetry. Other clinical interests include breast reduction and augmentation (clinically required only), problems with breast implants, benign breast problems, symmetrisation procedures and other onco-plastic procedures, family history of breast cancer assessment. I am also interested in the diagnosis and management of all non-cancerous breast problems (breast pain, breast infections, Breast Abscess, nipple discharge)
With continuing interest in research, publications and lecture tours maintained high standards of care for patients. Faculty of the national ultrasound course and Faculty of the National vacuum assisted mammotome training course. National peer review panel. Faculty National Survivorship Programme. With my experience as a clinical audit lead of the breast unit always passionate about standards and excellence of care.
In my personal life, I am married and have one child.
