I trained in cardiac radiology at Glenfield Hospital, Leicester and Green Lane and Auckland City Hospitals, Auckland, New Zealand. I am a Consultant Cardiac Radiologist at the Bristol Heart Institute and Bristol Childrens’ Hospital since 2005. I am skilled in all aspects of paediatric and adult acquired and congenital heart disease and I am active in research. I am secretary to the British Society of Cardiovascular Imaging and clinical lead for cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). I also offer a trans-thoracic and trans-oesophageal echocardiography, cardiac MRI and cardiac computed tomography.

I am a keen sportsman. I previously climbed extensively in Britain, the Alps and also the Himalaya. More recently I have taken up kayaking and completed two Devizes to Westminster kayak marathons and is an active cricketer and cyclist.
