After breast and nipple reconstruction we are able to offer nipple tattooing as a final cosmetic touch to give a colour to the nipple and surrounding area creating an areola to match the opposite breast. The procedure is carried out in one of our clinic rooms by our specialist breast care nurse, Amanda Pinkerton.

Funding treatment

The oncology service at Spire Washington Hospital is open to all, not just those with private medical insurance. If you are not insured, please contact our customer service advisors on 0191 418 8687 who will be happy to advise you of the cost for your treatment.

We are now able to offer post-op breast cancer patients the Pink Ribbon Program which aims to improve the physical and emotional well-being of women who have had breast cancer through physical exercise. Recent studies indicate a link between moderate physical exercise and improved quality of life for breast cancer survivors.
