BSc, MBBS, MRCS (Eng), FRCS (ORL-HNS)
My main area of practice is in head and neck surgery, including the treatment of head and neck cancer, as well as thyroid and salivary gland problems. I also undertake a full general adult and children's (paediatric) ENT practice, which includes the management of neck lumps, swallowing and voice problems, nose and sinus issues, hearing and balance problems, and snoring.
I have a subspecialty interest in thyroid and parathyroid surgery and performed the UK’s first scarless thyroid and parathyroid surgery (Transoral Endoscopic Thyroid/Parathyroid Vestibular Approach).
I began my medical education at Guy's and St Thomas', where I graduated in Clinical Anatomy. I then progressed into specialist training in ENT, oral and maxillofacial surgery, and later undertook neurosurgical training at Charing Cross Hospital. I also gained extensive experience in treating children while working at Great Ormond Street Hospital and The Evelina Children's Hospital. During my training, I completed a fellowship in head and neck surgical oncology at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
I am an elected member of the Council of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, where I am also a Fellow, as well as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
I contribute to medical education by training fellow ENT surgeons at Wexham Park. I have been a member of the SAC, which supports and quality assures ENT training across the UK and Republic of Ireland. I have previously held the role of ENT Training Programme Director for Thames Valley and served as Chair of the National Association of Programme Directors in ENT. I have also been a clinical tutor at Wexham Park, Director of the local Foundation Training Programme, and Director of the Foundation School at the Oxford Foundation School. In addition, I have held academic posts including Honorary Clinical Lecturer at the University of Birmingham and MSc Supervisor at the University of Edinburgh. My commitment to academia has led to my contribution of several chapters to high profile ENT textbooks.
I hold several positions within the British Medical Association, including having served as Chairman for the UK Junior Doctors Committee and the Board of Science. I am currently a member of the ENT UK Council and a past Executive Member of the British Association of Endocrine and Thyroid Surgeons.

I grew up in South London and attended Dulwich College. Following graduation from medical school, I have lived in a variety of places including Bournemouth and Birmingham. I now live locally in Wexham with my wife, who is also an ENT surgeon.
After 25 years of competitive rugby as a schoolboy and adult, I recently hung up my boots but still enjoy following domestic and international matches. I am a keen cricketer and looking forward to playing for a local club in the forthcoming season.
My wife and I enjoy travelling with recent trips to the Far East, Caribbean, USA and India, especially if we are able to scuba dive! My other interests include fine food, films and reading.
