Some of the principal treatments carried out by Mr Alok Misra at Spire include:
I am a consultant plastic surgeon offering private plastic and cosmetic surgery to patients at Spire Thames Valley Hospital in Buckinghamshire and Berkshire.
I trained at UCL Medical School, gaining the MBBS qualifications as well as the Chadwick prize in preventative medicine and public health. I then spent time training as a junior surgeon in Greater London before completing a one year post-graduate MSc. Shortly after this time, I was granted entry to the West Midlands plastic surgery programme, spending six years training in plastic and cosmetic surgery.
In 2007, I passed the FRCS (Plast) exam and thereafter specialised in microvascular reconstruction of the breast, face and lower limb at the internationally renowned Chang Gung Hospital (Taiwan) and Canniesburn Plastic Surgery Unit (Glasgow) before undertaking further aesthetic fellowship training. This saw me gain experience in brow lifts, facelifts, eyelid surgery, breast surgery, rhinoplasties and body contouring procedures including abdominoplasty, fat grafting and liposuction.
I have been registered with the GMC as a plastic surgery specialist since 2009. Following this, I was appointed consultant plastic surgeon in East Yorkshire, where I specialised in reconstructive breast surgery (including the DIEP flap) for breast cancer patients and facial reconstruction, before returning to the South. I currently practice as consultant plastic surgeon at Heatherwood, Wexham & Frimley Park Hospitals with a hand and wrist surgery, breast surgery, skin cancer, microvascular reconstruction and abdominal and perineum reconstructive interest.
I regularly attend conferences, publish extensively, and contribute to the latest advances in plastic and aesthetic surgery developments.
I have a growing private practice in East Berkshire focusing on all aspects of cosmetic surgery, in particular face, breast and body re-shaping surgery.
