Some of the principal treatments carried out by Mr Ahmed Raafat at Spire include:
I started my training in obstetrics and gynaecology in 1997 (15 y) in a teaching hospital in Cairo Egypt. I started my career in the UK in 2003. I undertook my training in London deanery. In the last 3 years of my training, besides general obstetrics and gynaecology training, I received advanced training in minimal access surgery. I run a colposcopy service in the NHS and I am part of the gynae oncology team in my trust. Robotic gynaecological surgery has been introduced to our Gynaecology department in Wexham park hospital and I can offer robotic surgery for selected cases. I am currently the labour ward lead at my hospital, and I provide antenatal care services.
I am keen on providing my patients with up to date information about their presenting problem and the options available for treatment. The patient will always be able to reach a fully informed decision about managing her condition. I value the importance of being there for my patients postoperatively and will always organise appropriate follow up.
