I am a highly experienced Consultant Hand Surgeon based in Worcester and Solihull, with more than 20 years of experience treating conditions affecting the hand, wrist and elbow. I have been established in the Worcestershire and Warwickshire region since 2005 and now practise as an Independent Private Hand Surgeon, offering specialist care to patients across Worcester and Solihull.
I specialise in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of hand, wrist and elbow conditions, including both routine and complex problems. My areas of expertise include: hand and wrist injuries, complex hand trauma, microsurgical reconstruction, elbow conditions, nerve, tendon and joint disorders, and minimally invasive hand surgery.
During my career, I have trained extensively across Europe, developing advanced expertise in hand surgery and microsurgery. I have performed over 100 replantation procedures, involving the microsurgical re‑attachment of amputated hands and fingers, a highly specialised area of hand surgery.
I completed my PhD thesis on microsurgical techniques in hand surgery, reflecting my long‑standing interest and academic contribution to this field.
I undertook an 18‑month sabbatical in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, where I worked closely with plastic surgeons managing complex hand injuries, including advanced microsurgical reconstruction. This international experience further strengthened my expertise in treating severe trauma cases.
I am committed to staying at the forefront of hand and wrist surgery and regularly attend specialist training courses and international conferences. I am a strong advocate of the WALANT technique (Wide Awake Local Anaesthetic No Tourniquet), which allows many hand procedures to be performed safely without general anaesthetic, often improving recovery and patient comfort.
I have presented at and organised national and international training courses, and have published articles in peer‑reviewed orthopaedic journals. I am also a Visiting Senior Lecturer at Aston University, contributing to the education and training of future healthcare professionals.
