I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, specialising in shoulder, elbow and knee surgery. My clinical practice focuses on joint reconstruction, sports injuries and upper limb trauma, providing expert orthopaedic care for patients across Worcestershire, Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and from Birmingham.
I have a specialist interest in shoulder reconstruction and arthroscopy, elbow surgery, knee reconstruction and soft tissue knee surgery, sports injury management, and joint replacement (arthroplasty). I manage both acute injuries and chronic musculoskeletal conditions, tailoring treatment to optimise recovery and long-term function.
I completed my orthopaedic training on the Birmingham Orthopaedic Training Programme, followed by over two years of advanced fellowship training at leading international centres. This included prestigious fellowships at the Pan Am Clinic in Canada, the Perth Sports Surgery Fellowship in Australia, the Santy Orthopaedic Centre in Lyon, and the Sports Fellowship at The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, Birmingham, gaining extensive expertise in sports injury surgery, minimally invasive techniques, and complex joint reconstruction.
I have a strong academic and research portfolio, with over 90 publications in peer-reviewed journals, including leading high-impact international journals. I am the Research Committee Lead for the British Orthopaedic Sports Trauma and Arthroscopy Association (BOSTAA), contributing to the advancement of evidence-based practice and collaborative research in sports and arthroscopic surgery.
In addition to my clinical role, I am Assistant and Educational TPD for Trauma & Orthopaedic residents in the West Midlands. I also serve as a Clinical Academy Teacher and Clinical Service Lead for Trauma at Worcestershire Trust.
I am committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based orthopaedic care, with a focus on accurate diagnosis, shared decision-making, and excellent outcomes from both surgical and non-surgical treatment.
