I am a highly experienced Consultant Ophthalmologist based privately at Spire Eye Centre, Spire South Bank Hospital, Worcestershire. My areas of expertise include phacoemulsification cataract surgery including complex cases with coexisting diabetic eye disease, age-related macular degeneration (AMD), diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein occlusion and other retinal vascular diseases.

I am also a very experienced cataract surgeon with low complication rates. I also provide intravitreal injection and implant procedures including Lucentis, Eylea, Avastin and Ozurdex.

I have been an investigator in research trials for retinal diseases and I am passionate about teaching.

I am currently the Medical Retina Lead and Specialist, and Audit Lead for Ophthalmology at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust and a Senior Academy Tutor for University of Birmingham medical students. Prior to my appointment at Worcester, I was Birmingham & Midland Eye Centre Eye Casualty Lead and the Medical Retinal Specialist and Royal College of Ophthalmology tutor for ophthalmic surgical trainees from 2008-2012.
