I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, where I have worked as a substantive consultant since December 2017. My clinical practice is focused predominantly on shoulder and elbow conditions, with referrals from primary care across Worcester and Worcestershire, as well as complex upper limb trauma cases referred by orthopaedic colleagues.
My main clinical interests include arthroscopic shoulder surgery, shoulder replacement surgery, sports‑related shoulder injuries, particularly in younger patients, elbow conditions, complex upper limb trauma, management of fracture sequelae including non‑unions.
Over the years, I have developed particular expertise in managing difficult and long‑standing upper limb problems, aiming to restore function and improve long‑term outcomes.
I work closely with my upper limb surgeon colleagues and within a multidisciplinary team that includes physiotherapists, radiologists, rheumatologists, pain specialists and GPs. This collaborative approach ensures patients in Worcester and across Worcestershire receive comprehensive, evidence‑based care tailored to their individual needs.
Following completion of my orthopaedic registrar training, I undertook a specialist fellowship at the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff, gaining advanced experience in shoulder and elbow surgery. Prior to taking up my substantive Consultant post in Worcestershire, I worked as a Locum Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at both Hull and East Yorkshire NHS Trust and Kingston Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, further broadening my clinical experience.
I am committed to delivering high‑quality orthopaedic care in Worcester and across Worcestershire, with a focus on accurate diagnosis, appropriate use of modern surgical techniques, and multidisciplinary rehabilitation to help patients return to activity and improve quality of life.
