In 2006 I was appointed as a Consultant Breast and General Surgeon at Worcestershire Royal Hospital. I spent my penultimate year of training in one of only nine National Oncoplastic Breast Fellowships, learning how to use plastic surgical techniques to complement and enhance the results of breast cancer surgery.
I obtained a first in medical sciences at Cambridge University and then did my clinical training at Oxford University. I then spent the next 13 years in surgical training, largely in London teaching hospitals, before moving home to the West Midlands. As part of my training I did a master’s degree which involved looking at gene therapy in the prevention and treatment of cancer.
I have been a member of the NHS multidisciplinary team as well as clinical lead. I am fully trained in breast reconstruction and I offer this as part of my regular NHS practice.

I am married with two young children. I enjoy spending time with my immediate and extended family and socialising with friends. I have recently taken up playing the piano.
