Dr Bernd Wittkop has been working as a Consultant Radiologist in Worcestershire since 2001. He has been running highly acclaimed national Radiology courses, lectures nationally and has served as Associate Editor for the British Journal of Radiology for more than six years.Along with his expertise in performing shockwave therapy, his other clinical interests include: musculoskeletal ultrasound and MRI; gynaecological imaging, including transvaginal ultrasound; head and neck radiology; oncological imaging; uroradiology including prostate biopsies.He is the South Bank Lead Consultant on the Radiation Protection Committee and is Lead for Primary CNS Malignancies, PET-CT, as well as the Nuclear Medicine Lead in the Acute Trust. He works as an appraiser and conducts regular audits. His interest in sports medicine imaging led to strong links with the Worcester Warriors and the Worcestershire County Cricket Club - working very closely with Orthopaedic Surgeons at Spire South Bank Hospital and The Spire Clinic, Droitwich Spa.
