I am a Consultant Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) Surgeon for both adults and children, with my NHS practice based at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust and The Christie NHS Foundation Trust. I completed my ENT training in the North West of England before undertaking advanced fellowship training in Paediatric ENT at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead in Sydney, Australia.
I have worked in ENT surgery since 2004 and, through my training and experience, I am able to diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions affecting the ears, nose and throat. These include nasal symptoms, voice disorders, swallowing difficulties and hearing loss.
I have a particular interest in paediatric ENT conditions and in the treatment of head and neck tumours, including thyroid conditions. I am Clinical Lead for Head and Neck Cancer for South Manchester and The Christie Hospital, and I work closely with Greater Manchester Cancer to help improve the patient journey for people referred with suspected head and neck cancer.
My specialist paediatric training allows me to care for patients of all ages, including new-born babies. I regularly run children’s clinics and operating lists, treating conditions such as tongue-tie, hearing loss, snoring and neck lumps. I am also a recognised Advanced Paediatric Life Support trainer and regularly teach healthcare professionals across the country.
I understand that attending appointments can sometimes be difficult around work, school and family life, so I also offer early morning appointments where possible to help minimise disruption.
