Specialises in
I am a Consultant Urological Surgeon at Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, with over two decades of experience in urology. I also practise at Spire Regency Hospital, where I bring my expertise in early cancer diagnosis and minimally invasive surgery to support patients in achieving the best possible outcomes with as little disruption as possible to their daily lives.
I graduated in 2003 and have since developed a strong commitment to both patient care and medical education. I have been honoured to serve as a Tutor at the University of Edinburgh, where I was recognised as “Tutor of the Year”, and I continue to contribute as a postgraduate tutor in urology. I am also a faculty member for the Royal College of Surgeons of England and an associate for the General Medical Council in the UK.
In my NHS role, I am the Cancer Lead and Educational Lead, ensuring that patient care is informed by the latest clinical developments while supporting the training of future surgeons.
I provide care for a wide range of urological conditions. This includes diagnosing and treating prostate conditions such as benign prostate enlargement (BPH) and prostate cancer, as well as managing cancers of the bladder, kidney and testicles. I also treat kidney stones using both non-invasive and minimally invasive techniques and support men experiencing erectile dysfunction with comprehensive, personalised care.
I have a particular interest in minimally invasive treatments, including procedures such as Rezum steam therapy and UroLift for prostate enlargement, which aim to reduce recovery times and improve comfort.
Over the course of my career, I have performed more than 500 prostate and bladder procedures, over 1,000 circumcision and scrotal surgeries, and many hundreds of urinary stone treatments and emergency procedures across both NHS and private practice. I also regularly carry out core paediatric urology procedures, including surgery for penoscrotal conditions and undescended testicles.
My focus is always on providing clear, compassionate care. I take the time to explain conditions and treatment options in straightforward terms, so you can feel confident and informed when making decisions about your health.
