I provide a comprehensive urological service, offering a full range of diagnostic procedures including ultrasound scans, biopsies, endoscopy and urodynamic assessments to help investigate bladder and urinary symptoms. I treat a wide variety of general urological conditions and have a particular interest in both conservative and surgical treatments for male and female urinary incontinence.
My practice includes treatments such as intravesical Botox injections for overactive bladder symptoms that have not improved with other medical therapies, as well as the implantation of artificial urinary sphincters for severe pelvic floor weakness. I also specialise in reconstructive urological surgery, including urethral reconstruction and surgery involving the external genitalia. This includes procedures to restore erectile function using penile implants and vasectomy reversal surgery for male infertility.
I care for patients with a broad range of conditions including erectile dysfunction, urinary incontinence, male infertility, prostate cancer, sexual dysfunction, uro-gynaecological conditions and general urological problems. My work also includes supporting patients undergoing gender confirmation procedures.
I was born and raised in Germany, where I completed my medical degree in 1992. I undertook specialist urological training in Kassel, Germany, as well as in South Wales and London, before qualifying as a Urologist in Frankfurt in 1997. I then worked as a Consultant Urological Surgeon in Bremen before taking up my current post in Wrexham in 2004.
