I am a Consultant Plastic & Hand Surgeon specialising in surgical oncology (skin cancer, soft tissue/melanoma/and rare tumours, and hand surgery. I specialise in soft tissue tumours, upper limb surgery to the hand. I have worked within the field of Plastic Surgery in England for over 10 years, both privately and within the NHS.
My private practice provides specialist surgical oncology, hand surgery, assessment and referral of patients with hand injuries to hand therapy.
I currently manage an NHS Plastic Surgery department in addition to my private work, supervising the team of Core Surgical and Specialty Trainees working across a range of services.
I am a member of the British Society for Surgery of the Hand (BSSH), a member of the Faculty of Expert Witnesses, and on the Specialist Register of Plastic Surgeons. I hold the statutory registration as a Plastic Surgeon with the General Medical Council (GMC).
Previously working in the ambulatory unit at the Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust as an Advanced Training Post (ATP) Training Interface Group (TIG) Hand Fellow, I led the provision of hand surgery under Wide Awake Local Anaesthetic No Tourniquet (WALANT) which is super-efficient.
