I am a general surgeon carrying out open and laparoscopic surgery mainly of the abdominal wall and its contents. My specialty interest is in endoscopy hernia surgery, and the specialist surgery of diseases of the bowel.
I've been qualified as a doctor for 35 years, including: 13 years in training in the UK, USA and Australia including two Clinical Fellowships a year. I have also had 21 years in continuous NHS practice in the same trust as a general colorectal and laparoscopic surgeon.
I have completed over 2,000 major abdominal procedures, including emergency and elective surgery.
I am the lead for colorectal cancer - MDT lead.
