I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a specialist interest in knee surgery, with many years of experience treating both routine and complex knee conditions.
I support patients with a wide range of knee problems, including arthritis, instability and sports injuries. My practice includes procedures such as knee arthroscopy, ligament reconstruction and patella stabilisation, as well as both partial (unicompartmental) and total knee replacement.
I am particularly experienced in revision knee replacement, including the management of complex cases and infected joint replacements. I have developed advanced techniques to help improve outcomes in these situations, offering patients tailored solutions even in more challenging cases.
Alongside knee surgery, I also perform hip replacements and treat a variety of orthopaedic conditions as part of a comprehensive lower limb service.
I have undertaken specialist fellowship training in Australia and the USA, which has helped shape my approach to modern joint replacement and revision surgery. Throughout my career, I have remained actively involved in the development of orthopaedic practice, including serving as President of the British Association for Surgery of the Knee.
My approach is centred on taking time to fully explain each patient’s condition and the available treatment options, supporting informed decisions and the best possible outcomes.
