Virtual consultations:
I am a Consultant Upper Gastrointestinal (Upper GI) and General Surgeon, specialising in keyhole (laparoscopic) surgery for a range of digestive conditions.
I support patients with problems such as gallstones, pancreatic conditions, reflux and abdominal wall hernias, offering both diagnostic assessment and tailored treatment. Wherever possible, I use minimally invasive techniques to help reduce pain, shorten recovery time and support a quicker return to normal activities.
I am also accredited in diagnostic and therapeutic gastroscopy, allowing me to investigate and treat upper digestive tract conditions in a safe and effective way.
Following my specialist training in the South West and London, I undertook advanced fellowships at internationally recognised centres, including the Royal Adelaide Hospital in Australia and St James’s Hospital in Leeds. These experiences have helped shape my approach to modern, evidence-based surgical care.
Alongside my clinical work, I have a strong interest in education and training. I teach on Royal College of Surgeons courses, including the internationally recognised Non-Operative Technical Skills for Surgeons (NOTSS) programme, and have contributed to research into patient-reported outcomes.
My approach is centred on clear communication and shared decision-making, ensuring patients feel informed and confident in their treatment.
Outside of work, I enjoy staying active through badminton and cricket, as well as walking and exploring the countryside.
