I am an established Consultant General Surgeon and Coloproctologist with extensive experience in both open and keyhole surgery. I completed my higher surgical training in the South West, including a fellowship in laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery at Frimley Park Hospital, and now offer a broad range of general and colorectal procedures.
My practice includes abdominal wall hernia repair (including local anaesthetic hernia repair), gallbladder surgery, and the removal of benign lumps and bumps. I have a particular interest in pelvic floor disorders and proctology, helping patients with symptoms such as pain, bleeding, discharge, continence problems and difficulties with bowel function.
I provide tailored treatment for haemorrhoids and related conditions, including the Procedure for Prolapsed Haemorrhoids (PPH), the Rafaelo® radiofrequency procedure, and specialist treatment for pilonidal disease, including Endoscopic Pilonidal Sinus Treatment (EPSIT). I do not treat hiatus hernias.
I am also qualified in robotic‑assisted surgery, which allows me to offer advanced, minimally invasive options where appropriate. I believe strongly in treating each patient as an individual, taking time to understand their concerns and tailoring treatment to their needs and lifestyle.
Alongside my clinical work, I have been Surgical Clinical Lead for the Theatre Patient Safety Group at Whiston Hospital since 2013, reflecting my ongoing commitment to high standards of patient care and safety.
Outside work, I enjoy music, mountains and gardening, and play both the piano and guitar.
