MBChB, FRCS (T&O)
I am a consultant orthopaedic surgeon specialising in advanced hip and knee care, including total hip and knee replacement, partial knee replacement and knee arthroscopy. I am also the Clinical Director for Orthopaedics at Wirral University Teaching Hospitals, a leadership role that reflects my commitment to delivering high‑quality, patient-focused orthopaedic care.
I graduated in medicine from the University of Manchester and completed my higher surgical training in the North West, before undertaking specialist fellowships in major trauma surgery and primary and revision hip and knee arthroplasty. I was appointed as a consultant at Wirral University Teaching Hospitals in 2022. Alongside my leadership responsibilities, I remain very active clinically, performing more than 150 joint replacement procedures each year and continually updating my skills to ensure I am offering the most up-to-date surgical techniques.
I strongly believe that successful outcomes begin with listening. I take the time to understand each patient’s individual concerns and goals so that we can develop a personalised treatment plan together. As well as surgical care, I also offer non-surgical options, including injections for arthritis and joint pain where appropriate. My aim is always to help patients return to the activities they enjoy, with improved comfort, confidence and quality of life. I see both NHS and private patients.
