MBBS BSC FRCS PhD
I am a Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon with eight years of experience in breast cancer surgery. My practice focuses on modern oncoplastic and reconstructive breast surgery, combining cancer treatment with techniques designed to achieve the best possible cosmetic and functional outcomes for patients.
I specialise in all aspects of breast cancer surgery, including breast-conserving surgery, therapeutic mammoplasty, mastectomy and implant-based breast reconstruction. My expertise also includes direct-to-implant reconstruction, nipple reconstruction, revisional breast surgery, symmetrisation procedures, sentinel lymph node biopsy and axillary surgery. In addition, I treat patients with benign breast conditions and those at increased risk of developing breast cancer.
I have extensive experience in advanced oncoplastic and reconstructive techniques, developed through nationally competitive fellowship training and international observership experience. I completed the prestigious TIG Oncoplastic Breast Surgery Fellowship across the Liverpool, Mersey and West Lancashire region, training in complex breast cancer and reconstructive surgery within several high-volume specialist centres. I also hold a PhD in breast cancer.
Alongside reconstructive breast surgery, I have experience in cosmetic breast surgery techniques, which I incorporate into my cancer and reconstructive practice where appropriate to help optimise aesthetic outcomes.
I perform approximately 150 breast cancer operations each year within the NHS and have experience across a broad range of oncological and reconstructive procedures. My practice includes breast-conserving surgery, mastectomy, implant-based reconstruction, therapeutic mammoplasty, nipple reconstruction and revisional surgery, as well as modern oncoplastic techniques designed to improve cosmetic outcomes following cancer treatment.
My approach is centred on providing safe, evidence-based care while supporting patients through every stage of their treatment. I understand that breast cancer treatment can be physically and emotionally challenging, and I aim to provide clear communication, compassionate support and personalised treatment plans focused on both cancer outcomes and quality of life.
