I am a Consultant Cardiologist with a specialist interest in advanced cardiac imaging and the diagnosis and management of complex heart conditions.
I provide care for a wide range of cardiovascular issues, including chest pain, coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, hypertension and valve disease. A key focus of my practice is cardiac imaging, using techniques such as echocardiography, cardiac MRI and cardiac CT to give a detailed understanding of heart structure and function, helping to guide accurate diagnosis and personalised treatment.
I also have expertise in assessing and managing more complex conditions, including cardiomyopathy and adult congenital heart disease. Where needed, I perform procedures such as coronary angiography (via radial or femoral access), right heart catheterisation, and device implantation including pacemakers and loop recorders.
I completed my specialist cardiology and general medicine training in Wales, followed by advanced fellowship training in congenital heart disease and cardiac MRI at Southampton University Hospital. I have also gained experience working internationally, including at the Cleveland Clinic.
Alongside my clinical work, I am involved in teaching and examining for the Royal Colleges and have held leadership roles developing cardiac imaging and congenital heart services.
My approach is centred on clear communication and using the latest techniques to ensure patients receive accurate diagnoses and tailored, effective care.
Outside of work, I enjoy football, cricket, flying and listening to music.
