I completed my Cardiology and General Medicine specialist training in Wales and did a Post CCT fellowship in Grown-up Congenital Heart Disease and Cardiac MRI at Southampton University Hospital.

My qualifications include MBBS (1997), MRCP (2003), CCT Cardiology (2011), CCT General Medicine (2011), FRCP (2013), FESC (2013), FACC (2016), FEACVI (2019). I have also received Top Doctor Certificate of Excellence 2021 - 5 Stars.

I have the unique experience of having worked in the best healthcare systems in the world including The Cleveland Clinic, the world’s best Cardiothoracic Centre.

My contributions to cardiovascular medicine were recognised by world premier cardiology societies and I was awarded with the prestigious Fellowship degrees by The European Society of Cardiology (FESC in 2013) and recently by The American College of Cardiology (FACC in 2016). I was awarded a Fellow of Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh in 2013 and I am the Royal College MRCP PACES Examiner.

I have held various leadership roles in developing Cardiac Imaging services, Grown-up Congenital Heart Disease services and Clinical Governance and Audit lead. I have management certification from Harvard Business School, Boston, USA and the Institute of Healthcare Improvement certification from the Institute of Healthcare Improvement, USA.

I have a special interest in healthcare management, planning and the development of health services and delivery. I completed the Harvard Management Mentorship Programme (2014/15) organised by Harvard Business School, Boston, USA and the Institute of Healthcare Improvement Certification.
