Professional profile

I have been working as a Consultant in Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine and Clinical Lead for Acute Pain Services at St Helens and Knowsley Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust since February 2016.

I obtained a Certificate of Completion of Training [CCT] in Anaesthetics in August 2015 from Health Education North West. I have completed Advanced Pain Training (APT) at the Walton Centre in Liverpool and obtained a Fellowship of the Faculty of Pain Medicine of the Royal College of Anaesthetists (FFPMRCA).

I have completed Advanced Pain Training at one of the well renowned tertiary pain centres - The Walton Centre for Neurology and Neurosurgery.

I regularly participate in service development projects and clinical effectiveness meetings throughout my career. I recognise audit as a clinical governance tool that can change practice and improve clinical performance.

I am a course director for a national study day "Joint Management of Joint Pain" which is approved by Royal College of Anaesthetists for CPD. Throughout my career I have been involved with undergraduate and postgraduate medical teaching both on a formal and an informal basis.
