I’m a consultant in respiratory and general medicine, caring for patients with a wide range of breathing and lung conditions. I see people with symptoms such as breathlessness, persistent coughs and chest infections, as well as long-term conditions including asthma, COPD and bronchiectasis.
I understand how worrying breathing problems can be, so I focus on providing clear explanations and a personalised approach to treatment. Whether your symptoms are new or part of a long-standing condition, I aim to help you feel reassured and confident in your care.
I work closely with a wider specialist team, including expert physiotherapists and respiratory physiologists, so that patients benefit from a well-rounded assessment and the most appropriate treatment plan. Where needed, I can also refer on for more specialised investigations or procedures.
Alongside my clinical work, I’m actively involved in research and education. I have a particular interest in improving the care and outcomes of patients with complex respiratory conditions, and I contribute to national research and quality improvement programmes. I also hold an honorary academic role with the University of Liverpool and am involved in postgraduate medical training.
My aim is always to deliver thoughtful, evidence-based care, with a strong emphasis on supporting patients to manage their condition and improve their quality of life.
