I am a Consultant in Endocrinology, Diabetes and General Medicine, with extensive experience supporting patients with complex hormone-related conditions and diabetes.
I look after a wide range of endocrine disorders, including thyroid, adrenal and calcium conditions, osteoporosis, pituitary disease and hormone-related fatigue. I also support patients with reproductive and hormonal health concerns such as PCOS, infertility, menstrual disorders, menopause and low testosterone, including testosterone replacement therapy. My aim is to take a holistic approach, understanding how these conditions impact everyday life and tailoring treatment accordingly.
In diabetes care, I specialise in managing complex and poorly controlled diabetes, including related complications such as kidney disease and neuropathy. I also help patients with weight management and metabolic conditions, using both lifestyle and medical approaches, alongside modern monitoring technologies. I strongly believe in empowering patients through education and self-management.
Alongside my clinical work, I have held senior leadership and education roles, including Clinical Director at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital, where I led service improvements to enhance patient care and reduce waiting times. I am also actively involved in teaching and research, contributing to publications, training programmes and educational initiatives both locally and internationally.
My approach is centred on clear communication, evidence-based care and working in partnership with patients to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading, sketching, listening to music and cooking – often experimenting with new cuisines alongside my wife, who is a nutritionist.
