Specialises in

  • Glaucoma
  • Minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS)

I am a consultant ophthalmic surgeon specialising in the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma, with over 14 years’ experience in both NHS and private practice. I lead glaucoma services at St Paul’s Eye Unit in Liverpool, where I also see patients referred from across the North West for more complex care.

I look after people with all forms of glaucoma, taking time to explain the condition and the treatment options available so you feel confident in your care. Where needed, I offer a full range of surgical treatments, from minimally invasive procedures (MIGS), such as iStent and Hydrus implants, through to more advanced surgery including trabeculectomy and glaucoma drainage devices.

I also perform cataract surgery, including combined cataract and glaucoma procedures where appropriate, helping to improve vision while managing eye pressure.

My approach is always centred on providing clear advice, tailored treatment and ongoing support, whether you are newly diagnosed or managing a long-term condition.

Alongside my clinical work, I am actively involved in research to better understand glaucoma and improve patient outcomes. This allows me to stay at the forefront of developments in treatment and care.

Outside of work, I live locally with my family and enjoy travelling, gardening, music and creative pursuits.
