As a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon in Liverpool University Hospitals and Spire Liverpool Hospital, I have a wealth of experience and expertise in treating hip and knee conditions, major trauma and bone tumours. I offer an extensive range of specialist services to the highest standard, including hip and knee replacement, revision hip replacement, partial knee replacement, keyhole surgery for soft tissue injuries and complex trauma operations. Also, for patients with cancer that has spread to the bones, I can provide some of the most advanced treatments available.
I completed my orthopaedic and trauma training in some of the world's most prestigious centres, including Charnley arthroplasty centre at Wrightington, Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital Stanmore, University College London Hospital and Royal Bournemouth Hospital. I have in depth knowledge, skills and experience in modern concepts and techniques in trauma and orthopaedic surgery.
I am the hip fracture lead in Liverpool University Hospitals and an active part of the Liverpool Metastatic bone tumour service and revision arthroplasty multidisciplinary team.
I take the utmost care and respect for all of my patients, utilising evidence based medicine with modern techniques to provide a personalised treatment plan that is designed to achieve the best possible outcome for them.
Additionally, I teach orthopaedic trainees locally and participate as a faculty member in national courses organised by the Royal College of Surgeons, Wrightington Hospital, and other leading institutions. I am highly qualified to support candidates preparing for their FRCS Orthopaedics exams. I have published research on hip and knee conditions in renowned journals, both nationally and internationally. I am also proud to have won the prestigious Orthopaedic Research UK prize for my outstanding research achievements.
