Specialises in
I am a Consultant Upper GI and General Surgeon based at the Royal Liverpool Hospitals, specialising in conditions affecting the oesophagus and stomach, as well as a range of general surgical problems.
I am part of the regional Upper GI cancer team for Cheshire and Merseyside, supporting patients through the diagnosis and treatment of oesophageal and stomach cancers. Alongside this, I treat a wide variety of conditions including acid reflux, gallstones and hiatus hernias, often using minimally invasive (keyhole) techniques to support a quicker recovery.
I also have a strong interest in hernia surgery, including groin, abdominal wall and more complex cases, and aim to offer personalised treatment that reflects each patient’s needs and lifestyle.
I completed my surgical training in the Mersey region and have been practising as a consultant since gaining my specialist qualification in 2016. In addition to my clinical work, I am actively involved in teaching as the Undergraduate Lead for University of Liverpool medical students.
I am passionate about providing clear, compassionate care, taking the time to explain treatment options and support patients in making informed decisions about their health.
My approach is centred on delivering high-quality care that puts each patient’s preferences and wellbeing first.
