I am a Respiratory Physiologist with experience in assessing and supporting patients with a range of breathing and lung conditions.
I provide a variety of diagnostic tests, including lung function testing and spirometry, to help assess how well the lungs are working. These tests play an important role in diagnosing respiratory conditions and monitoring ongoing health, helping to guide the most appropriate treatment and management.
I began my training in clinical physiology in Liverpool in 2007, gaining specialist qualifications in respiratory physiology. Since then, I have worked in a number of roles at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital, developing experience across a full range of respiratory diagnostic services.
In addition to my clinical work, I have completed an MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice, which has allowed me to expand my scope of practice and support patients more comprehensively. I am also involved in teaching and examining within my profession, contributing to the training of future clinical physiologists.
I have taken part in research projects, with work published in national and international journals, helping to advance understanding and care in respiratory medicine.
I understand that undergoing tests can sometimes feel unfamiliar or worrying, so I aim to provide clear explanations and a calm, supportive environment throughout the process.
Outside of work, I enjoy maintaining a balanced lifestyle and staying active.
