I actively participate in clinical research within the Liverpool Upper Limb Unit in all topics relating to the shoulder and elbow. Current large scale research projects include research into the treatment of shoulder fractures with shoulder replacements in elderly patients and participation in the prestigious UKFrost trial. UKFrost is a national multicentre study looking at the treatment of the frozen shoulder.

I am married with three children so am constantly on the go with children's activities ranging from rugby and football to gymnastics. When not working I am partial to a glass of red wine. At the weekends when not ferrying children to parties or activities I tend to be found knee deep in gardening.
