I have a strong research interest and am an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Liverpool. I have published widely on foot and ankle surgery as well as trauma surgery, including both new research and invited review articles. I have on-going research projects into treatment of bunions, flatfeet, arthritis as well as ankle ligament and Achilles injuries. My research has lead to me winning the AO UK trauma prize as well as the renowned Roger Mann award at the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society. I have also written many book chapters on my chosen subspecialty. I am regularly invited to lecture both nationally and internationally as well as presenting new research. I have co-convened both national and international foot and ankle conferences and am a Co-Director of cadaveric training course for other foot and ankle surgeons.
