I am a Consultant Cardiologist with over 20 years’ experience, specialising in heart rhythm conditions and heart failure, alongside a broad general cardiology practice.
I regularly support patients with symptoms such as palpitations, chest pain and breathlessness, as well as long-term conditions including heart failure and arrhythmias. I also carry out detailed assessments to help guide diagnosis and ensure patients receive the most appropriate treatment for their condition.
Alongside my clinical work, I am Clinical Lead for Heart Rhythm services and Director of Research at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital. Through this, I have been involved in developing innovative care pathways and contributing to national and international research studies. I also hold an honorary position with the University of Liverpool, reflecting my involvement in advancing cardiology through research and education.
I understand that heart conditions can feel worrying, so I focus on clear communication and thorough assessments, helping patients and their families feel informed and reassured throughout their care.
Outside of work, I enjoy keeping active and have a long-standing interest in sport, now focusing on cycling.
