My areas of interest include inflammatory dermatoses (such as eczema, acne, rosacea, psoriasis) and advanced therapeutics (including clinical trials), paediatric dermatology, lesion detection (including tele-dermatology), skin cancer and skin surgery.

I have performed around 2,000 dermatology operations over the last 8 years.

After completing my medical training with honours at the University of Liverpool in 2006, I undertook paediatric training within the Mersey deanery. After attaining membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health in 2011, I was awarded a fellowship to undertake clinical pharmacology research, where I gained experience in molecular pharmacology research and clinical research. I went on complete dermatology postgraduate training within the Mersey deanery. Since 2018 have been a consultant in adult dermatology at Liverpool Universities NHS Foundation Trust, and an honorary consultant in paediatric dermatology at Alder Hey Childrens Hospital.

I have been principal investigator in dermatology therapeutic trials and am a published author in peer-reviewed high impact journals. I've given international platforms presentations on subjects including atopic dermatitis, complications of steroid use and dermatological manifestations of COVID-19.

I hold leadership/managerial roles within both of the trusts I work for. I'm dermatology clinical governance lead at Liverpool University Hospitals, and dermatology educational lead at Alder Hey Children's Hospital.
