I am a Consultant Cardiologist with extensive experience in both cardiology and general medicine, supporting patients with a wide range of heart conditions.
I regularly assess and manage conditions such as angina, heart attacks, heart failure, valve disease and heart rhythm problems, including atrial fibrillation. I also provide cardiac risk assessments before non-cardiac surgery, as well as ‘healthy heart’ checks to help identify risk factors early and support prevention.
I have a particular interest in cardiac imaging, using tests such as echocardiography to help diagnose and monitor heart conditions accurately. This allows for a clear understanding of each patient’s condition and supports tailored treatment planning.
I trained in the UK, studying medicine at the University of Glasgow before completing specialist training in cardiology and general medicine in the Mersey region. I now hold senior roles within local hospitals, including clinical leadership in cardiac imaging services.
I understand that heart symptoms can be worrying, so I focus on providing thorough assessments and clear explanations, helping patients and their families feel informed and reassured about their care.
Outside of work, I enjoy maintaining a healthy lifestyle and value time spent with family and friends.
